Delicious authentic HK food with friendly staff with quick service. Ordered the baked pork chop tomato rice and satay beef vermicelli and the french toast, all staples of HK cuisine. Great bold flavours! Definitely would come again!

I decided to try this place out after a being given a recommendation from my Hong Konger friends. I had the beef tongue in tomato sauce with friend rice and I gotta say, the portions were huge. The beef tongue was tender, the sauce was creamy but I couldn’t really taste a whole lot of tomato. it was still delicious nonetheless. Afterwards, I decided to try the Hong Kong French toast, which seemed to be a deep fried variation of the regular French toast. It had a crunchy exterior but definitely a softer middle. The ladies serving were very friendly and gave some solid recommendations. I will be back for the congee in the future!

This was such a good meal and the owner was so nice. Mostly ate off the dimsum menu but also ordered braised pork belly with preserved vegetables and it was really well done. Haw gow, pork shu mai, and fried shrimp dumplings were all repeat orders from our table. I can't believe it was only 100 for four of us, and we were full. After Mandarin Ogilvie and Yangtze closing this year - this is my new dimsum spot! My second visit included many repeat orders off the dim sum menu. I tried the General Tao's Chicken, which was great, and got a bowl of steam rice. A bowl of rice is good for 4 people!

Since we first went to Cafe Orient, we haven’t been able to stop coming back for more. The menu might seem a little intimidating in its length, but everything we’ve tried has been delicious! The preserved egg and shredded pork congee, the fried break sticks, and brisket with vegetables has been our go to, but you can’t pass up on their delicious dim sum. The staff is kind, although the restaurant is busy most days, it’s definitely worth it if you have a little wait. Plus, you can’t beat these prices!

Great food at great price. The service time was a bit slow, waited 25min for the dishes to be served. But its all worth it. They have a special, order 2 or more plates and it come with a soup and unlimited rice. I got 梅菜扣肉 (the meat) 20, and 干煸四季豆 (vege) 18. Total after tax 42. Very decent for a high quality dinner for 2.

Tried 3 different Dim Sum serving places on Somerset , in a week, and this place is the best so far. Great service, restaurant style interior, fast kitchen, all the wanted condiments without having to ask, good size portions and what you’d expect for your typical dishes in terms of flavours, and decent prices.
